The concept is the brainchild of Chef and Owner Jason Saunders, formerly of Jianna in Greenville and Wicked Weed Brewing and Table in Asheville, to name a few of the spots where he made his mark. Sciortino's is a family restaurant, with lots of large tables and a few semi-private rooms that can be reserved for special events or private parties.Sciortino's menu is made up mainly of classic Italian fare. Some of the signature items the kitchen prides itself on are the pizzas, eggplant parmesan and chicken marsala. Patrons who come hungry should save themselves some room for dessert, because Sciortino's does an excellent cannoli, complete with cream on top and coming out of both ends.
