Since 2019, we’ve been dedicated to exceptional food in a community-focused setting.Alongside our Michelin-starred dining room, we have a relaxed bar with a pool table and darts, creating a space for everyone. Our menu celebrates terroir-driven, ‘proper country food,’ focusing on wild, seasonal ingredients. THE WOODSMAN IS A TRULY BRITISH RESTAURANTWe use the best British ingredients, all sourced as sustainably as possible.We love using Wild food, and harvest much of it ourselves. All the meat on our menus is “nose to tail” so the menu is ever changing, and we waste nothing. We even employ our own head ranger to keep the deer herds on the land we manage under control, and have our own deer larder in the Cotswolds where this amazing product is processed.Our fish comes from day boats in Cornwall.We work with the seasons, ensuring the very best truly local veg is with us the day after its picked. Our food is cooked over wood from local plantations, and charcoal coppiced less than 20 miles away.We know the story of everything on the menu.Our lovely staff are extremely well informed, so, do ask questions on anything you’re not sure of.We hope you love this restaurant as much as we do and keep coming back.

We are open for our full a la carte restaurant service from Monday to Saturday each week with tables from 18:00 until 20:30. We are closed for dinner on Sunday, but the bar is open. It remains Armscote’s only pub and, saved and sensitively refurbished in 2013 by the family behind Baylis & Harding, it retains many distinctive character features. Beautiful exposed beams, flagstone floors and magnificent fireplaces give that rustic feel with clever and contemporary touches, lending this remarkable building a luxurious yet comfortable atmosphere, which can’t fail to charm. We ordered a tasting menu and what a little gem this is in Leamington. Each dish provided a unique flavour which we had not tried before. The service was a relaxed professionalism. We will definitely be going again.

Lovely afternoon tea, gluten free & vegetarian options both excellent. Very good attentive service from waitresses. Nice room & soundtrack good not overly loud. Only thing that let it down was a dog that peed at the far end of the room but that’s the owners fault not the dog.
