The Punchbowl is a 17th century gastro pub, located in the heart of rural Essex and the Crouch Valley and the South Essex Salt marshes. Like most people I had to have the lasagne my only criticism would be was that it wasn’t piping hot but taste was amazing.

Food was good apart from cabbage starter which I wouldn't order again. Drinks were great as was the service especially the woman with red hair - we would definitely come back! Great that happy hour is on for the whole of November!

Proper Mexican food. Everything was delicious! Had the special “carne en su jugo” it was as good as the one in Mexico. Hope they keel this dish in the menu.
