Depuis plus d'un demi-siècle, un petit morceau de la capitale reste fièrement français: le restaurant Mon Plaisir sur Covent Garden's Monmmouth Street est connu comme le plus ancien restaurant français de Londres. Est-il romantique? Eh bien, des dizaines, voire des centaines, de propositions de mariage ont eu lieu ici, ainsi que d'innombrables premiers et troisièmes rendez-vous et des anniversaires. Acquis par les frères Viala dans les années 1940, le Mon Plaisir est devenu par la force des choses un établissement de choix pour la société londonienne avec son charme à la française.
