This wonderful inn is located in the centre of the pretty little village of Pooley Bridge, only moments from the edge of Ullswater Lake. Our spacious, traditional bar features open fires, free WIFI and a relaxing ambiance, which welcomes both dogs and children. On warmer days, enjoy our pleasant outside tables both in our beautiful front garden, and the peace of the Stable Courtyard away from the village bustle. Call us or pop in and say hello!

In other words, this 200 year old retreat is the James Bond of country house hotels, and therefore a popular choice for weddings and private parties. The acclaimed Regency Restaurant is just another reason why Leeming House is such a desirable destination. Our first meal at this restaurant and we were really impressed. So much so than rather than go into Pooley Bridge we have booked another two nights meals here

It was our first time visiting here and we really enjoyed the experience. The good was great and the service was even better. I didn't get the blonde waitresses name but she was really friendly and attentive. We would recommend and come back again :)

The Pooley bridge Inn is our favourite restaurant in Pooley Bridge as it’s so dog friendly and the service is superb and the food is always delicious. Can’t fault it to be honest

Service was very good friendly staff provided information about soup as we sat which is always helpful Food was lovely only downside was it was a little on the cold side But it won't stop us going back

Had a one night stay heading North to Scotland. No issues, nice quaint place with lots of sitting rooms. Food was good. Staff were chatty and friendly. Would return.
