Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times. All in all - excellent! I had the pork which was ‘melt in the mouth’ and my husband had the steak and Stilton pie - beautiful food. The staff were very attentive and The Bulls Head should be very proud of them. Wished we lived nearer and could eat there again!

Honestly the most amazing food i’ve ever had, the service was so speedy and welcoming!! the atmosphere was great and god don’t get me started on the focaccia, it was DIVINE!! This was the best restaurant i’ve been to in Manchester 100%

We both had steaks. It was probably the best steak we’ve had in a long time, the chips were cooked to perfection and everything was hot! Will definitely return.

The food was delicious and the waiting staff were all very polite - some were clearly new, but did a very good job at making us feel welcome. The only downside was there was a DJ who started at just after 8pm which made it very hard for us to have a conversation, even though we were sat in the restaurant side of the pub. Overall though I would definitely come back, just perhaps not on a Friday night!
