Rengaya has been serving YAKINIKU in North Sydney since 1993, making it one of Australia’s pioneering Japanese barbeque restaurants. Now, that tradition is set to continue at its new digs on Miller Street – just a short stroll from the original location – in a much more modern, striking setting. The new fit-out features bar-counter seats around an open kitchen, red booth seating divided by Japanese-style timber panelling and a hard-to-miss chandelier. Amazing new dinner spot. Pasta was cooked to perfection & the risotto was heavenly….I didn’t want it to end. Atmosphere and service was 2nd to none. Will definitely be returning.

We enjoyed the food, drink, service and atmosphere there. The staff are all welcoming us warmly. We loved deep fried white fish, fried rice, dim sum.

Amazing experience. The chef was full of character and had lots of fun with the diners and explained the courses well. The service was great and the food was delicious. The wine pairing was a bit too much on the sweet side for my liking but was nice to taste a range of different sakes.

My partner and I dined at Eastside bar and Grill for the Tuesday $98 Tomahawk steak deal and it was amazing. The steak was incredibly tender and the pepper, mushroom gravy and truffle mayo were perfect accompaniments. We had steak fries and green beans as sides and the green beans were exceptional. The atmosphere was intimate with candlelight, making a great setting for a special evening. The staff were phenomenal, especially helping me surprise my partner with a beautifully decorated chocolate lava cake for his birthday. Overall the food, service, and ambience were outstanding. Highly recommend, and will definitely be back!
