The name “Ichoume” comes from the address of this street. Ichoume is located on ‘1’ Harbour Street, Darling Quarter. That’s why we named the restaurant “Ichoume” (Choume is used for addresses in Japan. It's a way of breaking a municipality into districts. 丁目(Choume) is ‘city district’, so ‘1 choume’(Ichoume) is ‘1st [city] district’).The design concept of the restaurant is a hangout for adults.The menu is supervised by AKIKO ISHIKAWA, who has accumulated her career in many restaurants.     We’ve dined at this local gem on several occasions and each time, the staff was attentive and the food was good. Came for my birthday on the last outing and the staff made such a lovely fuss. Food is always spot on and cooked well.

    Verace is the place to go to for the most authentic Italian pizza that you can get without flying to italy. I would come here every week if I lived closer to them! I always order the diavola and it never lets me down, plus their home made chilli oil is to die for! Family run, Italian owners too so you know it’s legit. Family friendly, not stuffy and easy parking.

    Everything was great! The staff are nice and welcoming, the food was delicious and the staff brought each dish out with great timing. It was Friday night, they had live jazz music and it set the mood nicely!
