This 17th Century building sits above a shallow slope to the Thames and enjoys both a sunny veranda balcony and a pretty paved garden right on the riverside.Apart from one or two extensions over the years the pub building remains relatively untouched, giving it a traditional pub feel.Festooned with flowers and plants outside in summer and warmed with log fires in the winter it’s been a very special local in Twickenham for many years.

We are a dog-friendly pub as long as they are with well-behaved hoomans but do not allow dogs in our dining area if you would like to bring a four-legged friend please let us know and we can seat you in our bar area. We had a fab lunch. Despite it being a Rugby day and the place was packed, the service and the food were outstanding. All The staff are brilliant. And a special shout out to Matthew as always.

A fabulously friendly bunch , our Scottish waitress was amazing even although she came from Fintry. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful bottle of Finca las Cabras Rioja one that we have added to our wine list . Overall bloody marvellous, we will be back with bells on .

We booked a table for 6 at short notice and they were able to fit us in. Service was excellent, friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding and we had a fantastic lunch. I would recommend highly and will definitely visit again.
