The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea. The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to. A modern pub serving a frequently changing menu, available in our dining room, bar, and outside ledges. It's not fine dining, nor is it trying to be. We cook in a way that we as cooks like to eat, so don’t be afraid to share. If you want to pop in for a burger and a pint, feel free to grab any available space in the bar or outside. We accept bookings for tables of up to six people in the dining room.It can be loud and slightly chaotic; at night it is dark. We turn tables because we need to in order to survive and pay the people that make it work, so please don’t be offended if we ask you to wait a moment for your table. A really nice lunch menu and the dogs were kept quiet with the offer of treats on the side. Great service and will be back soon.

Lovely Sunday roast , I had the beef , the Yorkshire was huge ! My guest had the vegan Wellington which was very much enjoyed .

I was served by Kinga who was so thoughtful that she moved heaven and earth to ensure that we received the type of table we preferred. Thank you Kinga for taking the time to recognise the individual needs of a customer during a very busy time.
