Moro restaurant in London’s Exmouth Market may retain its reputation as one of the hippest restaurants in one of the hippest parts of the capital, but this Clerkenwell restaurant still focuses more on good food than its own image. Moro’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar, open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven, is functional and welcoming. Cuisine of the southern Mediterranean, from the Iberian Peninsula into Northern Africa, is the menu’s exclusive province.
Moro and Morito chef proprietors, Sam & Sam Clark, opened their third restaurant, located at 195 Hackney Road in 2016.Morito Hackney Road's Head Chef, Sevan Tchivitdji, draws influences from Southern Spain, North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean.Morito has a concise offering of wines from the Mediterranean - primarily mainland Spain and Portugal - with a couple of lesser-known wines from the Canary Islands. There is a selection of sparkling, white, red, pink, and orange wines, with many available by the glass. For those looking to venture past these, there is also a list of Sherry and Vermouth.
WELCOME TO YAZ
Your Delicious Escape to the Mediterranean
They say variety is the spice of life. Charming choices are at your feet, the moment you enter through our doors you will be met with a welcome only a independent family run business can provide. What will it be today - the Bistro for breakfast and brunch on our cosy Chesterfield sofas or perhaps you will take the winding staircase to our lush cocktail bar for something to sip on over supper? YAZ is all about laidback-luxury with a Mediterranean / Middle Eastern twist, so you can expect great vibes and gorgeous food throughout the day and late into the night. In the same way our venue offers two settings, with the ground floor for a more casual cosy Bistro experience and the first floor indulging you in an elegant evening rendezvous, where you can stroll on to our heated outdoor alfresco balcony to sip on a cocktail of your choice with the Mediterranean sun gleaming upon your face. YAZ there's no place like it.
