Established in 2016, the newest addition to the Zushi restaurant empire is in Sydney’s impressive new harbour foreshore playground. Zushi Barangaroo is both stylish and comfortable, capturing the relaxed style of a typical Japanese bar or izakaya designed by the renowned architect Koichi Takada. Masuya Restaurant is located in a building, which has been designated as a cultural asset, on O’Connell Street in Sydney. This is the same place as the office of Kanematsu Gosho, the pioneer of Australia – Japan trades, was situated in 1980. Masuya Restaurant opened in 1993, then full renovation was implemented in 2006.The approx. five meters long sushi counter, designed by architect Robert Toland in ‘kabuki red’ with an idea of the stage of kabuki, has since fascinated not only local Australian customers but also various people with different backgrounds.A showcase displays more than 20 different sushi ingredients everyday including locally produced fish, which is purchased on the day. Other carefully selected ingredients are wagyu beef, free-range pork, and seasonal vegetables. Specially designed tableware of Malcolm Greenwood and tables made of Tasmanian Oak is also creating a great atmosphere. Enjoy your time in this amazing space of hospitality.

Excellent food, ambience make for a great night out. Andy and the team have put together another winner with Clam Bar. Already having favoured other restaurants. Pellegrino 2000 and sadly now closed Bistro 916 I have a new favourite. All the food was incredible, but particularly liked the strip steak and creamed spinach.

Awesome, the staff are fantastic and they always greet us ands remember us which is nice. The food is awesome and we keep coming back for more. This is out go-to neighborhood Japanese. Only wish the Sake was not so expensive.

We ordered the Kangaroo Skewers, Yellowfin Tuna and a Tomahawk steak, along with broccolini and pumpkin as sides to share. Every dish was excellent. It exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend visiting for an incredible meal. We plan on going again.

The food was exceptional – authentic Italian flavors that transported us straight to Italy. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the wood-fired pizza was simply divine. The wine selection complemented our meal perfectly, and the desserts were the perfect ending to a fantastic evening.
