Peter Grünauer, chef exécutif, son fils Nicholas et sa fille Elisabeth ont ouvert le Grünauer en mai 2010. Peter vient d'Autriche; son frère et sa soeur tiennent toujours le restaurant familial de la région Neubau, à Vienne. Le menu présente une cuisine abordable et simple, tout en mettant en avant quelques aspects de l'excellente cuisine d'Europe centrale. Son menu vise à satisfaire chaque client passant la porte de cet établissement. Le Wunder Bar sert quant à lui un éventail de vins, de bières et de spiritueux que vous ne trouverez dans aucun autre restaurant de Kansas City. Le Lidia's sert une authentique cuisine régionale italienne. Chaque plat de ce restaurant est fait maison de A à Z à partir des meilleurs ingrédients disponibles.
