Au Modus Ristorante, une nouvelle adresse dans le Financial District, on sert de la nourriture italienne mais, étonnamment, on ne lui appose pas l'étiquette de 'rustique'. Derrière le projet Modus, il y a Sam Genkov, propriétaire de Bravi Ristorante, un favori depuis 16 ans dans le District, et le chef Bruce Woods qui était chez Brassaii auparavant.
Habitué à la cuisine italienne haut de gamme, Woods a travaillé chez Il Posto vers la fin des années 90, devenant chef exécutif et co-propriétaire de Centro après son remplacement de Marc Thuet.
