Ruta Oaxaca Mexican Cuisine opened in Astoria in 2021 with such a wonderful and successful home run that a second location opened in Patchogue in March 2022. Ruta Oaxaca means “Road to Oaxaca,” a historic state in the southern part of Mexico. Mr. Castillo and his Partners are keenly focused on honoring Oaxacan culinary traditions, whose fame is derived in great part from its many varieties of moles. By legend, these ancient recipes are more than sauces, they are the very focus of the meal. TAO Groupe dévoilera son prochain changement de la marque, la reprise de l’espace qui autrefois fut la maison de Hiro Ballroom et Matsuri situé sous le Maritime Hotel et pourra accueillir jusqu'à 400 convives dans le restaurant, avec environ 300 places assises dans la salle à manger principale.

Tout particulièrement apprécié par de nombreuses célébrités comme F. Murray Abraham, Chris Noth et Alec Baldwin, le Knickerbocker est célèbre pour sa musique jazz et ses steaks T-bone de 800 grammes. Le restaurant figure dans la liste des "Restaurants favoris de New York" de Racheal Ray, qui a notamment fait l'éloge du cocktail de crevettes, de la crème d'épinards et bien sûr, des steaks T-bone.
Le mot "Knickerbocker" signifie "New York". En entrant, vous saurez que vous êtes dans le Village. Les murs lambrissés affichent une alliance étrange entre des posters du siècle et des caricatures originales d'Al Hirschfield. Les grands sièges en cuir s'étirent le long des murs et les barres en laiton font ressortir le bar en marbre vieux de 100 ans, où Charles Lindbergh a signé son contrat Trans-Atlantique.
Le restaurant a pu survivre au temps en utilisant des ingrédients frais issus des marchés locaux, et en offrant un bon rapport qualité/prix. Le week-end, le service est disponible jusqu'à 1h00. Vous pourrez en outre profiter d'un menu de bistro avec des plats plus légers.
