The krō bär is an eclectic bar with a speakeasy vibe and a passion for spirits and great food with a nod to another era. Tucked away on Main Street in Bothell, a walkable neighborhood teaming with local art, culture and food, the artfully handcrafted krō bär has been reclaimed from the bones of Bothell’s historic hardware store in the Mohn building. The 16-foot-high tin ceilings, a hanging catwalk and the original wood floors were uncovered and restored. Jack Timmons grew up in Texas and has lived in Seattle for over three decades. In 2012, he attended BBQ Summer Camp at the Meat Sciences department of Texas A&M, then toured many historic barbecue temples of Central Texas. Returning to Seattle, he bought an offset smoker, imported some post oak, mesquite and hickory, and started the Seattle Brisket Experience.After more than a year of practicing the art of barbecue, and serving old-school, succulent smoked meats to thousands of Northwest BBQ fans at ‘BBQ Raves’, Jack opened his first restaurant in the South of Downtown (SoDo) area of Seattle – Jack’s BBQ in 2014.At our newest location on the border of Bellevue and Redmond, we serve authentic Central Texas Barbecue with Brisket, Ribs, Sausage and Chicken. Great craft cocktails including our famous Smoked Orange Old Fashioned. Incredibly good desserts like Peach Cobbler and Pecan Pie. Super delicious Breakfast Tacos. And as always, good times!
