Midwest Italian restaurant focusing on house made pastas, utilizing vegetables from Chef Joe Frillman’s family farm. Our bakery and cafe serves La Colombe Coffee alongside an array of pastries and sandwiches crafted by Chef Leigh Omilinksy.Dinner reservations are available Tuesday - Sunday; we are closed for dinner service on Mondays. Our cafe operates from 7:00am - 3:00pm every day. Lunch is available from 11:00am - 2:00pm every day. We do not take lunch or cafe reservations, it is first come first served. Please note that there will be a 25% service charge applied to all bills. This goes to pay our staff equitably as well as provide health and other benefits not typically offered in restaurants.

Riccardo a commencé sa carrière très jeune dans le prestigieux « GIRARROSTO », le restaurant familial à Milan. Puis, en 1982, il a déménagé aux États-Unis et a ouvert le célèbre Sonny Bono's à Los Angeles. En 1987, il a d'abord travaillé avec son cousin Roberto Ruggeri (gérant du Venture Bice) et ouvert avec lui le Bice New York, à Los Angeles, ainsi que de nombreux autres restaurants dans le monde entier. Aujourd'hui, après trois ans en tant que chef exécutif du Bice à Chicago, il a décidé, avec sa femme (et sous-chef), Veronica, et sa cousine (serveuse), Barbara, d'utiliser son art culinaire et sa créativité dans son restaurant baptisé à son nom : le « Riccardo Trattoria ». Riccardo Michi comes from a restaurant Family in Milan established since 1943 called Girarrosto, one of the first Tuscan restaurants in town and still operating.After moving to the US, Riccardo opened Sonny Bono, IL Giardino Ristorante and Madeo Ristorante in Beverly Hills. In 1987 he helped his cousin Roberto Ruggeri open the first Bice restaurant in New York City. Since then, he has worked in the opening of many of the restaurants in the group. In 2002 Riccardo moved to Chicago with his wife Veronica to be the executive chef of Bice on Ontario.Finally Riccardo and Veronica, also a chef, decided to open their own place and in 2006 called Riccardo Trattoria. Considered by many to be the top Italian restaurant in town, receiving the Bib Gourmand from Michelin in 2011, 2012 and 2013.Now, Riccardo and Veronica have opened Riccardo Enoteca, right across the street from Riccardo Trattoria on Clark.
