Francesca's Intimo a ouvert au début de 2001 et est le 11e restaurant du Francesca's Restaurant Group. Il offre une ambiance contemporaine décontractée et sophistiquée de « trattoria » et sert une bonne cuisine rustique avec un service amical et des prix raisonnables au centre-ville de Lake Forest. Le menu propose une cuisine typique de Rome et des régions avoisinantes : la Toscane, l’Ombrie et le Latium. Le Francesca’s Restaurant Group a été fondé en 1992 par le restaurateur Scott Harris. Tout a commencé dans un petit restaurant italien situé sur North Clark Street à Chicago, puis le savoir-faire s’est développé sur trois concepts de restaurant situés dans 33 emplacements à travers quatre états. Basé à Chicago, le Francesca's Restaurant Group possède et exploite actuellement 23 restaurants, cinq « Davanti Enoteca » et cinq « Glazed and Infused ».
