Take a drive Northbound on the A1 from Morpeth (a mere 36 miles), follow the signs for Chillingham Castle and you'll descend on the peace and tranquillity of Chatton. On your drive there, you'll witness the spectacle of the Cheviot Hills, the varied hues of the grasses and heaths and appreciate the true splendour of our county.
The Percy Arms is the ideal place to visit or stay for those looking for a relaxing break in informal but luxurious surroundings in the Northumberland countryside. The Percy Arms is in close proximity to some fantastic places including the spectacular Northumberland coastline, National Park, fine Castles and country houses, splendid churches and delightful towns and villages. Adults £95 and children £55. We require a 50% deposit to secure the booking, with the remaining balance paid by the 1st December along with your pre-order. We went on Bank Holiday evening and were told that they were short staffed in the kitchen which explained delays. My crab and prawn starter had a minimal amount of crab and my Bistro Rump Steak had the texture of having been partially cooked beforehand. My wife's choices were better. The waiting staff were pleasant and had varying degrees of competence. I suspect we chose a bad evening to go as the pub had been recommended to us.

I've been holidaying in Northumberland for over ten years and this is the best Sunday dinner I've had so far! Great selection of fresh vegetables. Well cooked and tender meat. Great flavour and value. Huge portions too!

Good hearty, healthy food served in ample Northumbrian portions! The staff were as charming and friendly as ever. |A fine selection of local ales with the Hadrian Brewery "Farne Island" Amber Bitter coming highly recommended. Thank you once again.

Sunday dinner here was absolutely delicious, easy to book and the staff were lovely. Definitely recommended.

Sunday roast was amazing!! Staff very polite, well organised, we Will certainly return before Christmas, this is the second time iv been and the first time was amazing too which was a week day beautiful food, very tidy bar parking was good, overall very satisfied!!!!

Meal was lovely. We booked late in the week so only gave them a few days notice for a Saturday evening... Probably a slight mistake on our part as we know as locals, how very busy it gets in summer tourist season with "walk -ins"... So, they were maxed out; - nevertheless, the young staff coped as best as they could and, as we had great company with us anyway, we hardly noticed the long wait till we got our order. So all in all, very good in deed! Well done guys and girls... It's almost impossible to get effective staff levels without a strict booking system as you never know how many walk-ins you'll be getting, but you coped admirably. Thanks, and see you again soon.
