We have dined at Peninsula Grill many times over the years. Last night was alright, but the less attentive service and some details were noticeably below your usual past standards. Here are a few examples, when we were seated we did not get napkins and had to ask. After being seated it took a while to order a drink. We ordered oysters on the half shell...one shell was empty and when told our waiter was embarrassed, but took the order back to be rectified. When a wine refill was needed we had to look around to summon our waiter who was not that attentive.

We had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. The service was outstanding and the food was very good. The Foie Gras was perfect. Go ahead and treat yourself.

We always go to Penninsula Grill when we are in Charleston! As always, the food was delicious, coconut cake stupendous, and service was great!

Our Server Suzy was fantastic and the ambiance was lovely. Great place for a special occasion or romantic date. I thought it was pricey for what you got, but most of our food was terrific. The prime rib my boyfriend ordered was rare in places when he ordered medium, but the manager, Dutch, was fantastic and took it off our bill.

Had heard great things about the Peninsula Grill. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to its reputation. First, the god; the ribeye was on of the best steaks I’ve ever had! Perfectly cooked, and incredibly flavorful. The whole red snapper was an incredible dish! Not dried at all, a bit of smokiness to the taste - absolutely first rate. All the sides, however, were cold and tasteless. But the service was inexcusable. Our server REFUSED to take an order for appetizers until we were ready to put in our entire order - even stating she would return “when I see your menus are closed”. She was curt the entire evening. I will not go back and recommend others don’t go. It wasn’t worth the price. The Charleston Grill the next night though was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! It’s not far away - go there instead.

Great experience! Adam was an excellent waiter. The only drawback was that they seated us underneath an air conditioning vent and water dropped down occasionally.

Our first visit and definitely will not be our last. Our Waiter, Lawrence, was most helpful on recommendations and the salmon and the scallops were the best we have ever had. Plan on taking your time and enjoying your meal. Nice relaxing atmosphere.
