Fondé en 1913, le restaurant italo-créole à la gestion familiale Pascal's Manale est situé dans les quartiers chics de la Nouvelle-Orléans. Il est réputé pour son barbecue de crevettes. We were very excited to try this place. Sadly, it was very underwhelming in every way. The hostess was ambivalent, at best. She never greeted us and it was left to me to address her. Once seated, we received water and butter immediately. We then waited ten minutes for our server to greet us, sans menus or apology for the wait. Fifteen minutes in and it’s already a bad experience. We thought the food would be the saving grace. Alas, that was not to be. The chargrilled oysters and the bottle of wine were the highlights, but the wilted salads and entrees were awful. Everything was so bland. The pasta gave pasta roni vibes. The scallops and fish were tasteless. Everything felt like it was missing something. It was very disappointing. Paint and paper peeling off the walls and stained ceilings just capped off an already lackluster dining experience. Changes need to be made, but we won’t be there for them.

We were seated in one of two rooms they had. In the room we were seated they had setup a table for a party of ~ 30 people. After we ordered our drinks and appetizer and entree, the party arrived. They were so loud we had to lean over to each other and yell to talk. Our server (who I do not blame) had to work this large party too. My wife wanted a 2nd drink but after 15 mins before we could get our servers attention, we instead just asked for a to go box and the check. As we were leaving I noticed several tables opened in the other dining room. I do not fault the large party - they made reservations too, but If Pascal’s had cared about us, they would have given us a table in that room and let the large party have the other room. Our appetizer was the crab cake - which could have been good, if I had not picked out so many pieces of shell. This one great neighborhood place is gone. Save you money - go elsewhere.

Positive experience in general The noise level was obnoxious So bad that someone had to say shaaa to the table. It ruined the experience.

Great restaurant that locals love. The eggplant dryades appetizer is our favorite.

Always a fantastic experience at Pascal’s Manale. Great food! Great ambience. Authentic New Orleans cuisine. And Thomas ‘Uptown T’ at the oyster bar is the best! Don’t miss the opportunity to dine here!

My wife and I love this restaurant and we go there for special occasions several times a year. I go for the oysters. I think they have the best oyster shucker in NOLA! Excellent veal dishes too. They now have more steak options. My wife tried the filet and thought it was excellent. It is a traditional New Orleans restaurant, there since the early 1900’s. I highly recommend it!😎

The food was fantastic, the service was good. The only issue I had was the noise level. It was hard to hold a conversation with all the other guests talking very loud. If you’re looking for a romantic experience this is not the place to go.

This restaurant should have kept most of the original restaurant menu. Big mistake. Way Way too much salt and I don’t mean just for health reasons. Our entree was awful. Based on the number of tables with customers when we arrived (early) And when we left, (about7:30) this famous New Orleans restaurant has issues. Restaurant also needs an update which I understand is in the works.
