This is a very disappointing experience for someone from the east coast visiting Malibu for the first time. Never again.

Interesting historic spot -- opened in 1957 looks very similar to their photographs. We dined outside -- nice day, deep marine layer through the first half of the meal. Nice to hear the waves and see the ocean. The portions here are GIGANTIC. We ended up with a Cobb Salad (big enough for three) and an Albacore Tuna Salad Sandwich. Delicious tuna salad, great bread. Had to pull off some of the lettuce and onion so I could fit it into my big mouth. We watched all the plates that passed our table and they all looked fabulous -- just HUGE. So if you go, plan on sharing or plan on doggie bags. We passed on desert, one piece of cake indicated a weight of 2 pounds on the menu. No rushing to release the table so we sort of luxuriated on the beach and enjoyed ourselves.

I was disappointed. The waiter didn’t seem to care and made an unnecessary comment how fast the teen finished her milk shake. She never brought the ranch dressing and her Diet Pepsi as we asked. After 20 min waiting I had to go find the manager and complain that is something I hate doing. We had a reservation and the place wasn’t busy and they made us wait for 20 min . Service was poor and I hated it.

It’s just not as good as it was. You ran out of beef after we ordered the flank tacos. The food was salty and tasted different this time as we always dine and drink there.

As usual , great 😊 atmosphere , 🌊 great view , wonderful food , great service, and yummy 😋 cocktails . I usually try a different one each time .

Arrived at 10:15 and had reservation. Seated at beautiful ocean view table outside under umbrella by 10:30. order delicious tropical cocktails and ordered from lunch meu. We started out with sharing order of nachos and then shared tacos and salmon lunch. Generous portion for 3 to share.. Plenty of parking spaces. We were allowed to enjoy lunch time until 12:30!!
