Neighborhood gem. Always have a great meal at a reasonable price. At our table, one had crabcakes and two had shrimp dinners and everyone enjoyed their meal. We had a leisurely lunch to catch up with each other and didn't feel rushed.

NOBODY beats Pappas for delicious, Maryland crabcakes! This location (Cockeysville) is easy to find, easy to park at, very clean and modern. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. All of our entrees were hot, well seasoned and delicious - in a word - “perfect.” If I had anything to comment on, it would be my “Jack Knife potato.” Supposedly, a twice baked potato w/ sour cream, pepper jack cheese and bacon bits - I assumed it would have be served in its potato skin. Instead, it came in a small tin baking cup! Not horrible, just not what I was expecting! The other three members of our party ALL loved their sides! (The MD Crab Soup & its cousin, MD Cream of Crab Soup were divine! Salads, fries, etc. were all super fresh and “spot on!”) Try your crab cake with an iced cold Natty Boh for a completely authentic MD Crab Cake dinner! Portions were just right (except for the potato mentioned above) and the price was “Maryland reasonable” for seafood of this quality (A+). I would, without reservation, recommend Pappas to ANYBODY in the mood for a great MD Crab Cake platter dinner! I am a Maryland boy, whose been steamin’ pickin’ and eattin’ crabs since I was knee high to a grasshopper! Pappas is ALWAYS my first choice for great crab delicacies! Last comment - a reservation is recommended for most visits!
