Le restaurant Oystercatchers est situé sur les rives du Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. Alors que vous conduisez sur une route sinueuse et sombre, vous verrez approcher une promenade illuminée, entourée de palmiers et de fleurs lumineuses. Been here several times. It was obvious from the beginning that something was not the same atmosphere as previous visits. Not sure if they were just understaffed or what it was. Menu selections were limited, no specials for the night. Maybe it was because it was the night before Valentines. Long wait from appetizers to entrees. With one waiter working 6-8 tables our order may have been misplaced? Apps good, entrees meh. Server did present 4 desserts to the table gratis. Even he knew things just were not as they should be. Maybe just an off night, but for $560 that should never be.

Started the evening waiting 10 minutes for a drink at the bar while having a seat (there are about eight total seats). Ordered dinner and everything fish related we got was overcooked (hog fish and lobster spaghetti). Best thing we got was a burger. You can find better for your money in Tampa. Very disappointed.

Restaurant had multiple large parties who were enjoying themselves. It was unusual in our 30+ visits to have less than stellar experience. Food and servers were wonderful as expected, kitchen was probably struggling with the multiple 8-12 people tables. Everything took longer than usual and staff were unnecessarily apologetic because they truly seemed to care that things were not to THEIR usual standard.

We had a great time with our guests and the sun setting was beautiful. Felt the grilled oysters were overdone. My tilefish was very strong. Probably the type of fish. My husband really enjoyed his pasta dish with lobster. Service was ok.

The food quality and menu options at Osytercatcher’s have decreased. Our server, who has worked there for years, was as excellent as always. The ambiance is not as good as it used to be. Let’s hope they can go back to the prior standards and that they can bring back the wonderful Sunday brunch.

This is one of Tampa Bays delicious secret hide aways! Scrumptious food, excellent service and views overlooking the water for miles. The ambience was relaxed & welcoming. We will definitely be back.
