Osteria D'Assisi Ristoranti Italiano was opened in 1995, in the Heart of Santa Fe. Owner Lino Pertusini from Lake Como, Italy serves Authentic Italian Cuisine. Our menu includes fresh seafood, locally grazed beef, veal and lamb, house made pasta, fresh bread baked daily, gourmet pizza and creative desserts. Gluten Free options. We had an amazing waiter. He was friendly and knowledgeable. And the food was excellent! Authentic and fresh. The pasta was delicious. Notable dishes were the lasagna and the scallops with rigatoni. We are from out of town, but they made us feel right at home and even made my son a special drink.

The restaurant is not what it once was. More mediocre, not as stellar. Food was tasty and service was attentive but something was missing.

Our weight staff were fantastic. Super attentive . Food was really wonderful. I had the lobster risotto, my husband had the veal picatta . Excellent Creme’ brulee was exceptional too .

Our waiter was new and needs training. The servers who have been there for a long time are very good. Fortunately we were in no hurry. Our drink orders arrived after the soup was served. The food was excellent.

I ordered a Caesar salad and asked for anchovies on the side. This ITALIAN restaurant had no fresh anchovies! The ribeye was fatty and far too big—to be fair there, was no size listed on the menu, but this was big enough for two adults—cut in half and slumped over the plate. The polenta under the steak was unrecognizable as polenta. It looked like and had the texture of something you'd stuff between bricks, as mortar. It was inedible, and how anyone in an Italian restaurant could have thought that this tasteless glob was polenta escapes me. My seven yar-old granddaughter knows how to make better polenta than this. Limp and lukewarm teeny-tiny asparagus spears were sort of glopped in the polenta.
