Located in Binfield Heath, Henley on Thames. Orwells' Kitchen is headed up by Michelin starred chef Ryan Simpson & Liam Trotman. The aim is to source the best produce available locally and beyond to prepare delicious dishes with no fuss to let the quality of the produce shine. The kitchen takes a rural approach combined with modern cooking. The restaurants' been recognised in all the major guides and have continued to hold 4AA rosettes consecutively for 8 years. We have a nice relaxing lounge area and the atmosphere is cosy and classy. The garden area has great views and is open on warm days for dining. We are also dog friendly.

Orwells offers a choice of Al a carte, Wednesday - Sunday alongside a Tasting menu.
The Lunch menu runs from Wednesday to Sunday, its £45 for 2 courses and £55 for three courses. Sunday has a roast offering which in £55 2 courses & £65 3 courses, alongside the tasting menu and A la carte

My husband and I have eaten at Orwell's quite a few times and always found it to be exceptional. This is why we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary there. However, when we arrived and were given the menu I was surprised to see that I did not fancy anything on the starters and was a little disappointed by the main menu also. Don't get me wrong there were many choices (especially game) but, for some reason there were lots of pretentious little bits added. Anyway I chose a crab starter with a curry sauce lamb to follow, followed by an apple terrene. All the food was presented wonderfully but, the curry sauce on the crab was a little over powering. The main course was truly cooked so well it just melted in the mouth and the dessert was out of this world. My husband and I were presented with a card to celebrate our anniversary and Toby was a really lovely waiter. My only really criticism was the young girl who gave us our coats. When I was asked how the evening went, I began to explain that I was a little disappointed at seeing the menu but, before I could say anymore the young girl snapped out that 'it didn't suit everyone'; with that we were given our coats and promptly felt dismissed, perhaps she was having a bad day. The young men who own Orwells are so nice they deserve a very good review as the food was WONDERFUL.

Outstanding evening celebrating a special birthday, divine food paired with the perfect wine - attentive and knowledgeable staff we were thoroughly spoilt and would highly recommend Orwells

A lovely lunch at Orwells. Stunning pheasant with mushrooms and melt-in-the-mouth squash, with a lovely sauce and yummy raspberry shortcake with pistachio ice cream desert. Everything beautifully presented. Service is impeccable. And I do recommend the raspberry martini, it was delicious.

Birthday celebration dinner for three. Beautiful ambience with Xmas decorations in place. Cosy restaurant but not cramped. Pre dinner drinks in snug near bar; menus to peruse. Before starter - crab crumpet, which was delicious, were pre starter tasters incl some salted bread with honeyed butter and a smoky concoction - all delicious. Our group had the fillet - beautifully prepared, one of best I’ve tasted - and wild boar and chicken. The puddings looked good but only my daughter had capacity! Price - you get what you pay for, and note some supplements.

1st time at Orwell’s and will definitely be returning. Wonderful atmosphere, service and food. Perfect fr our anniversary celebration. Thank you Orwell’s. See you again soon

A wonderful, relaxed country setting in a small restaurant but with enough distance between tables to allow adequate privacy. The quality of the food and its presentation was first rate and at a fair price for a restaurant of this standard. The service was very good, attentive but not over bearing.

Excellent Sunday lunch. 2 courses, plus little extras which was a lovely touch. Attentive staff, who made sure we were happy with everything. Definitely recommend.
