We dined for NYE with a reservation. We were promptly seated for our booked time. The whole place is warm and inviting with just a really rich atmosphere. I felt like I was in a 5 star restaurant. Our waiter was very professional, but I thought he may have been over sat. There was quite a bit of time between his visits and he did not have time to talk about the menu with us. We ordered the antipasto platter. It came prompt, but reeked of costco goods. I ordered a salad as my main and my husband ordered a shrimp pasta. My salad arrived a good 40 minutes ahead of his dinner. Not good and very disappointing. The food was good, but not outstanding.

We were 30 minutes early for our reservation but were seated immediately. Our food was brought out in a reasonable time hot and nicely plated. Our waited checked with us on a regular basis and we we were very happy with the experience.

We went on Mew years eve and they were very accommodating to us when we had one additional person joining us. The only issue was one of the dishes was not what he ordered and he took it away and said it would be five minutes. unfortunately it was 10-15 minutes so by the time the meal arrived most of us were already done eating. ( I hate that). He was not offered anything for the inconvenience which was unfortunate, but other than that the food was great and the atmosphere was good.

I enjoyed a nice impromptu dinner out with friends on Christmas Eve eve. The restaurant was not very busy on this Monday night and we were seated right away. The menu has limited vegetarian options. I inquired about any specials or dishes that could be made vegetarian and the waiter said all they had was on the menu. After taking our order he asked if there were any dietary restrictions, seemed odd to ask that after taking the order. Dinner was not rushed, when the food came out everything looked amazing and tasted great. Nice selection of wine, beer and full bar. I definitely recommend the seafood as the halibut, salmon, shrimp, and scallops were cooked perfectly.

So sad to say this but terrible accommodations for dairy free allergy, and vegan guests- the server had no idea what to suggest for either of us. I (dairy free) was told any fish should be fine, was served a rock fish in a full cream sauce. Our vegan guest was suggested a chicken Parmesan with mushroom or chicken fettuccine with a mushroom… both cream/cheese heavy dishes. I already hate to have to be the picky one at the table but it’s so much worse when the server isn’t well versed in this, I expect more out of a top notch restaurant. Food tasted good and ambience was good. Just disappointed in this.

Our server was amazing and as always the manager was very friendly and helpful. A great dinning experience.

Not ext busy but didn't get dinner for 85mins. Server didn't even tell us the daily special on menu. Not warm at all. Prices are way too high for this restaurant. Chicken parm was forgetful with gummy pasta. I want to like Orso in its old glory but will not be back, Kincaid Grill / Jen's / Southside Bistro have better prices and service.

Hadn't been to Orso in awhile and was pleasantly surprised. It was nice to see a fairly wide variety of Alaska seafood on the menu. One would think that would be fairly common for restaurants in Anchorage, but sadly it is not of late. It was also nice to see a refresh of the house cocktail offerings. All in all it was a pleasant evening of good food and service!

Great steak (better than Sullivans). Always nice. Pretty Christmas decorations. It's too bad you can't ask if people want to be loud; loud can be fun. But, the women next to us were guffawing so loudly (nothing is that funny), that we could not have a conversation.; sad face.
