L'Orrery est un établissement incontournable pourvu d'un toit-terrasse élégant, situé dans le quartier verdoyant de Marylebone. Le restaurant s'est vu attribué une récompense par le Tatler Restaurant Awards, dans la catégorie « Test of Time », à l'épreuve du temps. Certaines choses ne se démodent jamais et la cuisine raffinée du chef Igor Tymchyshyn en est le parfait exemple. Le toit-terrasse du restaurant Orrery constitue l'un des endroits les plus agréables de Londres pour déguster des plats en plein air. En fait, le bar et la terrasse bien exposée de l'établissement figurent parmi les meilleurs spots pour savourer des boissons dans un cadre décontracté au sein même de Londres. C'est l'endroit idéal pour échapper à l'agitation du West End.

    An excellent a la carte dinner at Orrery. The lamb dish was outstanding. My only criticism was that I had to repeatedly ask for my wine glass to be re-filled. This should not occur in a restaurant of this standard.

    Wide menu choice, excellent food and service (very patient and attentive) and a delightful venue. We haven’t been for a few years but were delighted to find that the Orrery is as good as ever. A great place to meet friends and residents if you live outside London as it’s only a 15/20 minute walk from Euston. We had a great evening thanks to all the Orrery staff.

    We had a very pleasant time at Orrery - a trip down memory lane as we hadn't been for many years. The food was very good (and was visually stunning) - but charging £20 supplement for a crab starter and 2 of the mains (beef and seabass) is a bit steep. The service was a bit hit and miss and lacking character. It was also a shame that our starters arrived while we were still drinking our cocktails - even though we had ordered some wine (and we weren't being slow and there were plenty of free tables so no need to rush us). So timing was a bit off. We had a very nice evening but it wasn't as good as it used to be.

    We have dined at the Orrery several times and we have never been disappointed in any way. The staff are always attentive and friendly The quality of the food is excellent and inventive and the service is exemplary.

    I am a fan of Orrery, but the experience at dinner earlier this week was sub par. Specifically, the service was poor and we had to wait ages for our food. Maybe just an off night, but it was disappointing.

    Start with the positive - the waiter MATTEO is excellent - a really positive and capable individual. The amuse bouche gazpacho was delicious and the Devon crab (with. £20 supplement starter) was good…. Then it went downhill rapidly. Steak was overcooked and tasteless, the tired sprigs of broccoli heads in a cm of water and Sainsbury’s tomatoes (flavourless) at £6.95 plus service a side followed by the dreadful cheese chariot. You can tell it’s a group restaurant - tired, sad and a rip off.

    Welcome was okay. Service was not up to the standard I would expect from a restaurant at this level. Staff failed to bring a wine list when requested & then took ages to bring the wine. A man who looked like the maire d' was very offhand. Food was reasonably good, but some of the ludicrous supplements attached to the "chef's menu" were eye watering.
