L'Orrery est un établissement incontournable pourvu d'un toit-terrasse élégant, situé dans le quartier verdoyant de Marylebone. Le restaurant s'est vu attribué une récompense par le Tatler Restaurant Awards, dans la catégorie « Test of Time », à l'épreuve du temps. Certaines choses ne se démodent jamais et la cuisine raffinée du chef Igor Tymchyshyn en est le parfait exemple. Le toit-terrasse du restaurant Orrery constitue l'un des endroits les plus agréables de Londres pour déguster des plats en plein air. En fait, le bar et la terrasse bien exposée de l'établissement figurent parmi les meilleurs spots pour savourer des boissons dans un cadre décontracté au sein même de Londres. C'est l'endroit idéal pour échapper à l'agitation du West End.

    Wonderful Meal. Lovely setting, great service and the food was amazing. The beef melted in your mouth and the comment puree was out of this world Would highly recommend

    The Orrery is in a beautiful location and has a great culinary history but my sense is finance is now running the show and it’s now living off its past reputation. The potential is still there but no real identity…

    The food was good (particularly yummy dessert) However …. I had booked the table but staff deferred to my male guest which was irritating. We were brought the a la carte menu and the expensive tasting menu but I had to ask for the Chef’s set menu We asked for tap water and the waiter poured us a half glass each and then took the jug away so we had to keep asking for refills. Surely they could have left the jug on the table? They had placed an ice bucket containing bottled water next to us - maybe they thought we would break into one in desperation. The really uncomfortable dining experience was that food was brought up from the kitchen on a large tray which was held steady by an underling until one of the waiting staff noticed them and served the food to the diners. This is no way to treat staff and was demeaning as the food bearers were clearly not considered fit to come near customers. It felt positively colonial. The desserts had to be sent back 3 times as the plates were chipped There was a technical problem producing the bill and we had to wait a long time. We did get a significant reduction and I acknowledge that but it was, on the whole, a fiasco and I am not surprised it was half empty Maybe they were just having an off day

    Orrery's set lunch menu is a fabulous thing. At £45 for three courses, it's hard to beat. I would just question the need to have a option in each course that has a £20 supplement. I know it is listed as such, but I don't think everyone spots it. One of our party was blissfully unaware of the supplements and chose two courses with the add-on—taking a bargain £45 lunch to a challenging £85—which could have been £105 if they had gone for the veal! It's just an observation. The lunch was lovely, as always, and the staff helpful. But please leave the expensive dishes for the a la carte.

    Un gran secreto. Muy buen restaurante, no tan conocido, no es un turist trap. Excelente comida, bonito restaurante, buen servicio. Uno de nuestros favoritos en Londres
