Great food as always. The Chilean Sea Bass with short rib and miso butter cannot be recommended highly enough, it's been a staple on their menu for years. Ate at the bar, bartender was very attentive.

We ordered the octopus (a little tough), jerk chicken (very spicy) but moist, beat salad (excellent) & the pork ribs(a little dry). Portions are enough for 2 to share but pro y if you’re hungry. Overall good experience. Highly suggest having the almond olive oil cake, delicious!

This was my 2nd visit and my husband's first. The first visit was a girls night out - dinner, before going to a play. It wasn't the best. We had a very rude server and we never have understand what we did to deserve the treatment we got that nite, but we "still" talk about that night to this day. However because everyone enjoyed their food that night, I wanted to come back and try again. I was determined not to get that same server (who is still there btw). The restaurant is beautiful. Modern, comfortable and relaxing. My husband had two drinks which he enjoyed. We had Calamari as an appetizer and they were fried to a crisp, so not a great experience with that appetizer. We had the octopus which is a favorite for us at any restaurant, and though it also felt slightly overcooked it did not ruin the overall dish. The flavor profile of this dish is just awesome! I would order again. Everything else we ordered was perfect. Chilean Bass over Braised short ribs, Brussel sprouts, banana bread pudding, and coffee. We had a very nice server, she was polite, friendly, funny and respectful! Overall it was a great date nite for us, and we would go again.

Chef Ruiz is renowned as one of the finest chefs in Raleigh, and we're always eager to follow him wherever he leads, thanks to his exceptional talent. We've dined at Oro before and have a particular fondness for their featured menu items. Upon our arrival at the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the host, who was incredibly gracious. Fortunately, we had made a reservation, allowing us to be seated without delay. Our server, whose name escapes me, was delightful and displayed impressive knowledge of the menu. We enjoyed a wonderful conversation with her on various topics before placing our drink orders: my husband chose a cocktail, my son opted for a Coke, and I decided to stick with water. It's evident that Chef Ruiz has a genuine passion for both the food and its presentation. Although the restaurant's decor may feel a bit dated, the stunning floor-to-ceiling windows offer a remarkable view. Ample parking is available, with both parking lots and street options. Overall, our experience was fantastic; the food was exquisite, and Chef Ruiz never fails to impress.

The noise level is actually what took ambience from 5 to 4 stars. Music was good just a tad loud. Maybe I'm just getting old :) The lighting was just right in my opinion. We also think it'd be great if one way mirrors were set up downstairs because people walking by looking at you eat was a little jarring. For a fine dining establishment, we expected staff to be more uniformed and less casual. Not a reason to never return, just an observation. Anyways, the server Cory was super knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. Food was spectacular. Of course we had our favorites. The pork and oysters were standouts and something we typically wouldn't have ordered so kudos to them for providing a sampler option even though there were only 2 of us and not the recommended 6. Would definitely return for a treat yourself experience or special occasion.

Incredible dinner. We ordered six different dishes and every dish was delicious. Favorites were the sea bass and scallops. Both of the deserts we ordered were also very good. Highly recommend.

We have been in Oro several times . Good is fantastic as well as the service . The cocktails are a must !!! We will be back soon

The service was stellar. The drink presentations were over the top and entertaining but too expensive for the quality of the drinks. The portions were shareable and the dishes tasty (oysters, pork belly, broccolini, burrata, potatoes, shrimp and jerk chicken). Be careful with the her chicken as it was extremely spicy. The banana bread pudding was a perfect conclusion. It was difficult to have a conversation without shouting to be heard, but overall an enjoyable meal.
