Evoking the spirit of the original Joe’s of Westlake, the newly renovated restaurant transports guests to Westlake circa 1960. Boasting Sputnik lighting, terrazzo flooring and redwood accents throughout, Original Joe’s Westlake elicits mid-century America in the likes of Palm Springs, Beverly Hills and Las Vegas. The newly reimagined Cascade Room features show-stopping pimento orange banquettes, and offers a variety of options for large gatherings—from private rehearsal dinners and memorial receptions, to smaller non-private family dinners, class reunions and birthday celebrations. With beautiful custom sliding doors, the Cascade Room can be divided in half, creating two fully private event spaces, accommodating up to 50 guests each.

had a nice dining experience here. the prawn cocktail was tasty & the eggplant parmesan was a large tasty portion also.

Westlake Joes never disappoints. The best time to go is between main meal times because it’s usually very crowded. Reservations are definitely recommended. I’m happy to see they’re serving sourdough bread again, not those little dinner rolls they had substituted for awhile. The petrale sole is amazing.

Outstanding, as always! We made reservations, but arrived early and waited in the bar for a table. The wait wasn't as long as expected and we were taken to a great booth for dinner. Service was friendly and accomodating. Salads, pastas, and desserts all delicious!

Since the new ownership I have seen Joe’s quality go up and down. The steaks are very hot or miss but the rest of the menu seems spot on.

Well all had a cheese burger which was out of this world, as always. Our server suggested putting the burger on garlic bread which one of us did. Yummy! Also shared bomboloni and cheesecake for dessert.

The Italian dishes were a let down. Clearly OJs shines with Italian-American classics, so why try to bring more traditional Italian dishes to the menu? We had high hopes & some were met and some were not. The cacio e pepe had no pepper on it? I had to grind pepper to make it edible. The dish literally has pepper in the name. There was a sauce on it, kinda like an alfredo, but didn't taste like the dish I expected. The furthest thing from cacio e pepe I've had in my life. The tiramisu was strange - lacking in coffee and chocolate. Kinda tasted like the fridge it had been sitting in. Again, did not feel like authentic tiramisu. Arancini was alright, but really soft & not very flavorful. The drinks were solid, and we liked the eggplant parm & spicy rigatoni. Not world changing but good options.

They placed chicken pot pie on regular menu and not just as the Wednesday special! Food was delicious, excellent service (Cory was our server). We were able to sit for 3-1/2 hours and not felt pressured to leave…comfortable sitting as long as there were open tables.

Prompt service once seated. but reservations a must for Original Joe’s or you could have a long wait. Menu options were plentiful and good sized servings.

It was wonderful to celebrate my husband’s birthday. But there’s some moments where I felt the restaurant was being very cheap. My son’s ordered Arnold Palmer ice tea and they refused to give a free refills. And for my husband they also refused to give him a free tiny dessert. I had to order it.
