This is our first time in NYC and this is our FIRST restaurant we went to. The whole experience was amazing. Services are so nice and friendly. Everyone welcomed us in as we walked through and everyone smiled at us when talking and introducing the menus and the history of this place. Believe it or not, we just saw The Hamilton show last night and here we are at what used to be Burt’s place. Such a wonderful call back! Food was amazing and we couldn’t even finish desert because we are too full. How can others finish all the courses? That’s unbelievable. Hahah. The lady(customer) at the bar was a bit cloud though, good to her for having a great time. I know the drinks are great! Overall totally worth it and the environment is beautiful and romantic, very suitable for a date. I heard it’s one of the 10 most romantic restaurants in the world. Awesome! Definitely going again next time in NY. Love it!

overated overpriced 155$ for a 3 course meal that was good but no more service was very goid

The grilled octopus was perfect. The dover sole very good. The lamb cooked perfectly but the sides were not enjoyable. The pasta was ok, quit a large portion. The nicoise salad was delicious. The chocolate souffle not a fan of. Enjoyed the raspberry mousse. Would recommend the octopus to start, fish meal as an entree, and raspberry mousse for dessert. Service was absolutely excellent. Would go again for the ambiance and different dish selections. The space is stunning.

The entire evening was magical. This is a repeat visit for us and one of many more to come. The cavatelli appetizer was delicious, and the entrees of Duck Breast and Beef Wellington were spectacular. The wine pairing was also just perfect. Service: outstanding. Ambience: romantic. overall - just a very special night. Thanks to all the excellent staff!

We went to this small restaurant in the West Village on a recent trip to the city. It was recommended to us by a fellow foodie and world traveler. Our only disappointment was that we had theater tickets for 7pm, so we had to move through our meal rather quickly. There are really just two options here: a prix fixe meal or a chef’s tasting menu. Due to our time constraints, the Prix fixe menu was our only option. We opted for the rack of lamb and beef Wellington for our mains- both were delicious and well presented. For starters we chose the burrata and the watermelon/cucumber feta salad. Both were refreshing and flavorful. For dessert we chose the apricot “tart” (which was actually more like a butter cake, served warm with ice cream) and crème brûlée ( the best my husband has ever had…and he’s had many, all over the world). Everything, including the service, was top notch. The decor is subdued and romantic ( fresh roses on all the tables, candles). I hope we can return and try the chef’s tasting menu. With so many fine restaurants and experiences in the city, it’ll have to wait, but it’s definitely a goal. Understand that this is indeed an experience, and as such, you will pay for the experience. This is a special occasion kind of restaurant.
