Installée dans l'un des bâtiments industriels joliment rénovés de Portland, l'Olympia Provisions Southeast est la première salumeria USDQ à servir des plats raffinés de style européen. Le menu est créé par le très doué chef Alex Yoder, et reflète l'approche des traditions de la cuisine européenne rustique. Les plats de Yoder mettent en valeur la charcuterie maison de l'établissement, les viandes d'origine locale et les légumes de saison. We had picked bar seating and they sat us at a very thin section of the bar that should not be a place where people sit. We requested to move. The next spot was better. The people following us came in and refused to sit at the “bar seating”. It’s not conducive for having a meal and drinks. The food was not great. I wouldn’t recommend going here. The staff congregated and talked about costumers.

I usually love this restaurant but our meal last night was a disappointment. The pumpkin soup was over salted and barely warm. My husband’s pork was also not hot and arrived with zero prunes as had been advertised in the menu. The chicory salad was tasty but had far too many croutons, like one quarter of the plate. Also the mignonette sauce that came w/the oysters had no zing. On top of this, the wait for the meal was so overlong that the server felt compelled to give us extra bread. And a free cookie at the end. It didn’t make up for fatty, barely warm, overly salted food. We won’t come back.

Great food! Cool location. Maybe usual host/hostess wasn’t working. This part of experience not so great.

A great spot for a romantic dinner out! Great selection of wine and delicious cocktails. The service was outstanding. We ordered the French charcuterie board and absolutely loved it! We also ordered the gnocchi and pork main dishes. The gnocchi wasn’t our favorite as thr gnocchi were fried and we missed the pillowy chewiness of other gnocchi we’d had in the past. The pork was delicious, perfectly seasoned and tender. Next time we visit we plan to order the Chef’s tasting menu.

As always, a fantastic experience and perfectly hidden but accessible gem on the SE waterfront playground of restaurants. Some things feel unusually expensive but the food is phenomenal, staff are great, and overall service and vibe is fantastic. Highly recommend.

It does not sound like that situation was handled correctly and I will be sure to discuss it with our front of house team. We agree that the names sound too similar and never want to make this mistake again, understanding the potential seriousness of it, so we have changed the name of the N/A version to the "new fashioned."
