The Old Surrey Restaurant is Surrey’s best well- kept secret. Built in 1918, it was the residence of Lou Jack and his household until it was converted into a restaurant in 1974.

The interior has a crisp, clean aesthetic that is enhanced by hardwood floors and the enlarged photos of historic Surrey that adorn the walls. There are five distinct dining areas on the top floor (including a cozy library) and a banquet facility downstairs. The cuisine is French with a splash of West Coast flare. A treat for new and seasoned guests alike are the signature dishes that are prepared and flambeed tableside.

The restaurant is family owned and operated since 1975. Since 1984 the restaurant has entered into a partnership with the family farm in Ryder Lake overlooking Chilliwack from the nearby mountains. The Old Surrey is well known for its free-range lamb and veal allowing customers to enjoy fresh organic ingredients.

            All good. Valentines prix fixe. Lamb rack was delicious. Escargot delicious.

            This place never disappoints! Valentines menu was perfect, they even gave complimentary couples photos to each table.

            We always recommend the Old Surrey to friends and family. It has become the place we celebrate special occasions. The staff is brilliant. Table side service is amazing. The food is incredible. The prices for what you receive are definitely fair, but be prepared. We love going here and save accordingly.

            The food was amazing as always. They were busy so the service wasn’t 100 % as usual but still good. I would highly recommend to anyone. The food will not disappoint.

            We have been there many times over the years, Always enjoyed the fantastic food and the staff. Last night was our wedding anniversary,we were very excited to have Ty looking after us again, We really enjoyed his talent. Another fabulous night. Thanks Garry.

            This is easily the best restaurant south of Vancouver. We make a point of dining here several times a year and ask for a table in the library room as some of the other rooms can be noisy. Great food!

            Service was excellent salmon was not on the menu but they were able to serve us with the salmon, the food was delicious the servers were great. Definitely will come again Restaurant was very nice clean and cosy set-up.

            Always look forward to a special night out at the Old Surrey Restaurant. As expected we had a highly enjoyable experience and ended up staying much longer than usual. Kudos to the entire staff.
