Just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte and 7 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Old Stone Steakhouse is located in historic downtown Belmont in the beautifully restored Belmont Police Department building. We offer upscale steak and seafood with casual prices and a warm ambience during the evening and a laid back and approachable lunch menu during the day.

You will also find a full bar with an extensive wine, beer and liquor menu. If looking to dine al fresco, we have a large patio overlooking Main Street and Stowe park.

Food quality has really gone down. This is no steakhouse. Not a good value either. Won’t be back.

Seating was terrible. The past two times we’ve eaten here we were sat at a small table near the front door. We asked for another seat and were denied.

My mother took me out for my birthday. When we first sat down, they put us right beside the kitchen and there were about five or six servers standing right beside us talking loudly about beer and drinking and my mother said she felt like they were looking at her the whole time so that made her uncomfortable. The kitchen staff was cursing and saying inappropriate things and the servers even had to tell them to watch their mouth. Also we got the bruschetta, but it was so hard. I couldn’t even bite into it. The bread was like stone! Our server seemed kind of evasive and I felt a little rushed, but the second girl that was helping us was very nice and courteous. This was our second time there but we honestly didn’t have a very good experience especially for $125 and my mother said she does not want to go back again and that’s unfortunate because we really liked it our first time…

Food was excellent, waiter was wonderful and answered all of our questions. He even made suggestions for local places to go as we are not from the area. We haven’t been to Belmont in years and it was well worth it.

We had a very enjoyable meal with great prices and prepared as requested. Service was professional and courteous. Brooke was responsive, friendly and on her game. The food was delicious and came out quickly. We would certainly recommend the Old Stonehouse to anyone and we will certainly be returning.
