Just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte and 7 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Old Stone Steakhouse is located in historic downtown Belmont in the beautifully restored Belmont Police Department building. We offer upscale steak and seafood with casual prices and a warm ambience during the evening and a laid back and approachable lunch menu during the day.

You will also find a full bar with an extensive wine, beer and liquor menu. If looking to dine al fresco, we have a large patio overlooking Main Street and Stowe park.

The waiter, Brett, was always in a hurry. Made us all feel rushed throughout the meal. The $40 filet mignon I ordered was an inferior cut of meat and terribly overcooked. I ordered “medium”. It was well done. Not a nice center cut, which I expected for $40. Just a waste of money, especially after driving 70 minutes in bad traffic to get to Belmont. Can’t speak for the other three at my table, but my husband had salmon that was also cooked past requested temperature. Had we not been with friends we would have sent both dishes back. Probably won’t go there again. Better steaks and food for less money elsewhere.

Our server, Kristin, was excellent. We will ask for her next time! There for 4 of us and everyone’s food was very good. Music could be turned down a little for people with hearing issues. Looking forward to our next meal at Old Stone!

Definitely recommend! Great dinner and service. Goat cheese appetizer, filet with Asiago cheese crust, wedge salad, and sweet potato soufflé were all amazing

This visit was our first time eating at this restaurant (it was my birthday). The steak I had was cooked to perfection. This is the first time I’ve ever gone to a restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed steak. My spouse on the other hand, didn’t enjoy his. But we informed our waitress and she made it right. We both left happy and full. We will definitely make this restaurant one of our frequent spots.

First time visiting and we went for Valentine’s Day. Made reservations and they had a limited menu for the night . The menu was good but VERY misleading! It stated 90.00 per couple included 1 app, 2 entrees w/ sides and 1 dessert to share. Upon ordering we were told the sides were 4.00 additional. I do not mind any price for food but the online menu did not state that and what steak doesn’t come with atleast 1 side with it ???? So in other words it was 106.00 per couple if you each got 2 sides, which most do. I feel like it would have been cheaper to have had to option to just order off the menu. I even showed the server the online menu and he agreed it was very misleading . The service was amazing and food was good. Not great in my opinion. My only suggestion would be to make the menu more clear for people. We overheard others questioning the same thing we did about the additional charge.

Absolutely delicious. The Mahi Mahi was amazing. Wife loved the steak. Waitress was on point and very nice.
