The Old Lyme Inn’s restaurant and bar offers guests contemporary New England Fare in a casual yet elegant atmosphere. Our chef embraces the changing seasons and bounty of the Connecticut River Valley to offer creative menus that change weekly.
Since it's opening in April 2012, the restaurant has quickly become a celebrated meeting place for visitors and locals alike. The inn boasts three different dining rooms, a grand eight seat bar and a fireplace adorned library. The Side Door Jazz Club offers shows every Friday and Saturday night and has been recognized by 'Down Beat' magazine as one of the best jazz venues in the world.
Whether you're joining us for our famous 'Jazzy' brunch, cozying up with a friend at our afternoon tea or enjoying an elegant dinner before a show at the Side Door; we can't wait to exceed your expectations.

    Peaches, lemon, raspberries; oh my! Our July tea highlights the bounty of summer in New England. Imagine sandwiches that could be packed in a picnic basket...caprese crostini, prosciutto and roasted peach, and Thai Chicken Salad. Desserts will include mini peach hand pies, chocolate-blood orange pound cake and luscious lemon cookies. We'll be featuring Harney & Sons 'Indigo Punch' with notes of lemon, butterfly pea flower and raspberry; served hot and iced as well as watermelon-mint iced tea. Cool down and relax every Saturday with reservations taken between 11:30am-2:00pm.

    This was fun and great day out. I would do this again. The food was amazing to look at, as well as flavor. I went to the Wizard of Oz event. The only thing that would have been a great addition, if they were playing the movie while we were eating. That would have been so perfect! I am already planning in August for friends from another state to experience.

    Lovely spot & historic Inn. We had a table for (4). Beautiful evening for outside dining. Biggest issue was ALL umbrella tables were positioned UNDER the large shade tree. Many diners with-out umbrellas had to shield their eyes (even w/sun glasses) for quite long time due super sun glare. Several folks complained to hostess…. I suggested they reposition umbrella tables for summer dining.

    The food exceeded expectations and was delicious, the wait staff were attentive and friendly and The Side Door Jazz Club, located at the Inn, was awesome- Intimate, excellent acoustics and great world renowned Jazz artists lined up for the foreseeable future…Have dinner and see a show at The Old Lyme Inn/ Side Door Jazz Club!

    As always our tea at Old Lyme Inn was excellent. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely. We were greeted warmly by all the staff. A purely positive experience. Thank you

    We attended their Wizard of Oz themed tea! The details were amazing! Sad they were out of one of the teas but there were other choices to try so not a big deal. Nice variety of sweet and savory, but I did overdo the sweet and should have had more of the savory, as it was our main lunch meal! Our server and the manager were awesome - checking in on us regularly to see if we needed anything and very hospitable! Will definitely be back for a tea in the future with my daughter when she is visiting!

    Our food was very good and the service was excellent. Nice wine and cocktail selection. Limited choices for vegetarians, unless you eat seafood. Nice outside seating area. The restaurant automatically adds a 20% tip in order to provide a living wage for the staff (see small print on menu). But considering the excellent service, we would have tipped that much anyway. We will go again.

    Lovely setting especially outdoors with good food and a friendly waitress, all together made a quiet Friday evening a nice ending to a busy week. We will be back with our friends.

    Great jazz trio playing standards. Corned beef hash Benedict delicious and filling. Sat in lobby after eating just to relax and listen to the band.
