Ouvert depuis 1856, l'Old Ebbitt Grill est le plus ancien restaurant de Washington, DC. Situé en face de la Maison Blanche, il sert une cuisine américaine et propose la plus grande sélection d'huîtres du district de Columbia.     Always a favorite when we are in the city. Our server JJ was fantastic. New Fall drink menu combined with some old favorites from the menu made for a great dinner.

    Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at! The service is impeccable. It’s hard to find a place that takes pride in their service anymore but this place is run like a well oiled machine. The crab cakes are to die for!

    The first thing you do when you find out you’re going to DC is make your reservations for Old Ebbitt. From that point on it is a topic of discussion and the anticipation builds right up to the point that you find out you’ve been seated in an unused portion of a strip mall. It felt like we were eating at a Denny’s where they use tablecloths. Our waiter was remarkable and the oysters were delicious.

    Old Ebbitt Grille has been one of our favorite DC restaurants for 15 years, and my wife and I try to eat there every time we’re in town. We’ve never been disappointed.

    Do not go. They sat us not in the restaurant but in an elevator lobby of I think an office building. And I had made a reservation several weeks in advance, so this kind of "overflow seating" or whatever they call it was really not acceptable.

    Horrible Experience! Obnoxious waiter. Then they switched waiters in the middle of the meal. To top that, 2 bites into my meal was a long hair in my food. The manager was short and almost rude as if how dare us complain.

    There were six of us in our party. We were able to sit in the bar area and had only a brief wait for our table in the atrium-which is what we requested. The bartender was kind enough to snap our picture while we waited. Our server was friendly yet professional. The bread was warm and the butter was spreadable. Our food arrived quickly and the hot meals were hot. Three of our out-of-town guests said they would rate their meal as 5-stars. High praise from these world travelers.
