Ouvert depuis 1856, l'Old Ebbitt Grill est le plus ancien restaurant de Washington, DC. Situé en face de la Maison Blanche, il sert une cuisine américaine et propose la plus grande sélection d'huîtres du district de Columbia.     Horrible Experience! Obnoxious waiter. Then they switched waiters in the middle of the meal. To top that, 2 bites into my meal was a long hair in my food. The manager was short and almost rude as if how dare us complain.

    There were six of us in our party. We were able to sit in the bar area and had only a brief wait for our table in the atrium-which is what we requested. The bartender was kind enough to snap our picture while we waited. Our server was friendly yet professional. The bread was warm and the butter was spreadable. Our food arrived quickly and the hot meals were hot. Three of our out-of-town guests said they would rate their meal as 5-stars. High praise from these world travelers.

    Excellent service & food. We met friends whom we had not seen in years. We were able to sit & visit with no pressure to hurry & leave. A very enjoyable evening & highly recommend Old Ebbitt Grill.

    Some of the best crab cakes we’ve ever had. Our service was excellent. It’s probably one of the best experiences we have had in a long time.

    My kids and I had a post White House lunch at Old Ebbitt Grill and the food was delicious, our server Nana was an absolute sweetheart to my kids. The three of us split a cup of clam chowder, the lobster roll, and the signature filet, the food was a total hit with my 8 and 6 year old. Wonderful visit!

    Everything at Old Ebbitt was incredible but if I could give the service and ambience a ten out of five stars I would. The barkeeper and host were incredibly knowledgeable and pleasant. They gave me the exact dining experience I was looking for. While the food was excellent, it was the service that made this restaurant stand out to me and will certainly be a place I return to! For a smooth dining experience I would advise making a reservation ahead of time.
