    Very disappointed with the dining experience. Went in with high expectations seeing the strong reviews. For vegetarians the options while decent in number, lack in taste and quality. The gazpacho was decent but the Beets, salads and Cannelloni were sub par, taste wise. Even the desserts were very ordinary. Will definitely not be coming back.

    Love the local neighborhood vibe ~ warm, welcoming interior. Service was wonderful from the minute we stepped in the door. Wine service and wine list superb. Food was amazing ~ my husband had a chilled soup and the duck. I had the stone fruit salad and pasta with short ribs. All were perfect. The sourdough bread and salted butter is a must. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

    Octavia never disappoints. If you like healthy, perfectly seasoned dishes, this is your place. The service is excellent.

    Octavia is an absolute gem! We had a beautifully balanced meal, starting with the grilled stone fruit and serpent cucumbers, both refreshing and packed with flavor. The flannery beef tartare on brioche toast was a standout, as was the housemade sourdough with butter or olive oil. The agnolotti del plin and San Diego swordfish were perfectly cooked, and the off-menu 36oz ribeye was a showstopper—plenty for three. For dessert, the pavlova and panna cotta were light and satisfying. Everything paired perfectly with their wine selection. Great service and atmosphere too! I loved the open kitchen layout.

    Was recommended by a chef that I met when I was in town. He said that Melissa Perello was doing it right and sure enough I had an excellent experience. Great food, great staff and great ambiance.

    Everything was perfect, gorgeous restaurant, fantastic service from everyone especially our server Eli, truly delicious food. Intimate, relaxed and friendly!

    Incredible! Wonderful! Delicious! 10/10! Fabulous! My partner and I came to celebrate my new job and we were treated to well. We had the tasting menu split a bottle of Frappato and were just amazed with the food. Nothing avant garde or revolutionary, but straight forward Californian food done very very well. The tasting menu is a great value and the service was spot on.

    Lovely meal! We left it to the professionals and ordered the chefs tasting menu. So delicious, well paced and plenty of food. Service was friendly and efficient. I love the neighborhood sense of Octavia (also Frances in the Castro).
