O&B Canteen is a casual, fresh market café and “grab and go” counter located in the heart of Toronto’s entertainment district in the TIFF Bell Lightbox at King and John streets. Created by celebrated fine dining restaurateurs Peter Oliver and Chef Michael Bonacini, all of O&B Canteen’s offerings are chef-prepared with fresh ingredients, from housemade sandwiches and breakfast butties to roasted half chicken and steak frites. Pair it with one of O&B Canteen’s great value wines by the glass or beers. O&B Canteen’s casual marketplace atmosphere, together with its quick, cheerful service makes it the perfect destination, morning, noon and night. In season, enjoy a large streetside patio.

    I recently dined at Canteen and had a wonderful experience. The service was outstanding from the moment I walked in. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure all our needs were met promptly. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. The food was served quickly and the entire dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Canteen to anyone looking for great service and a pleasant dining experience.

    The managers and the staff were attentive and knowledgeable, guiding us through a fantastic meal with perfect wine pairings. Every dish was superbly prepared. Despite a busy lunch, the staff ensured our comfort and made our evening truly enjoyable. We'll definitely be back for more!

    We had a wonderful experience here. Service was outstanding! Everyone seems to enjoy working in the restaurant, you can see smiles everywhere. Also we really enjoyed the signature cocktails. Food was great too.

    We tried the Summerlicious menu. The value was good, and would have been better if the service and food were better. To be fair, the server seemed quite new, but had limited help. The ambiance was very nice on the patio. Appetizer: Strew corn … 9.5/10 & Strawberry spinach salad … 9.5/10 Main: Breaded wagyu steak, kimchi and rice … 7/10 Dessert: Peach cheesecake … 7.5/10 Drinks: Ontario Sauvignon Blanc … 7.5/10 & Margarita on tap … 8/10 Service … 5.5/10 Ambiance (patio) … 9/10 Ambiance (inside) … 7/10

    Perfect quick dinner before Female Eye Film Festival at TIFF Lightbox. Delicious light burger & Veggie wrap. Impeccable service. Only complaint was the abnormally tiny cocktail I sent back!

    The appetizers (corn and shrimp) was amazing. The katsu was not as tender as one would expect I also found it a little bland. Dessert peach cheesecake was absolutely amazing. Our waiter was awesome. (European gentleman) He was kind helpful and just a pleasure

    The taste and portion size of the food was good. We did the Summerlicious menu. The mango passionfruit coulis dessert was too tart, but we had an overall good experience.
