The food was great! Service was terrible! Not enough staff for a busy Saturday night! Our waitress was serving way to many tables! Mistakes were being made because of that! And the wait for everything from bread to main course was long! Defiantly like it used to be! But the food was awesome when we got it!!

Reservations definitely needed, and as they are updating their system, encouraged to verify. Menu was just right. Calamari appetizer was breaded and done correctly! I ended up with Shrimp scampi over linguine - delicious. Fish and chips - large haddock, gumbo was a huge bowl over perfectly done rice - food was great! Staff was jumping, it was a busy Saturday night, and still managed to keep things moving. Thanks for an enjoyable evening, we will return!

Our waitress, Fiona, was excellent! Super friendly and very attentive. Shrimp scampi was served nice and hot.

We went to Oyster Bar for my husband’s birthday. He had the combo pan roast and I had linguine and clams with white sauce. Both were delicious and would return. The only disappointing part was they no longer serve the house dressing for the salad. Titania was an excellent server. She was prompt in taking our order and delivering our hot dishes. She also had a good sense of humor while still being professional. We will make sure to site in her section again.

Overall a great value for seafood selections. Not the very best quality but for the price and the portion size not bad for a family dinner in Reno. Decent wine list at a fair price point. Very friendly staff.

The service was excellent. The food was very tasty the waitress paid close attention to our needs the atmosphere was quiet and enjoyed. The cost was reasonable and we had good portions. Left overs and no room for desert. Thank you.

We are locals and hadn't been to John's Oyster Bar in quite some time. It didn't disappoint, we had the Pan Roast and the Lazy Man Ciopino and they were just as remembered.

Elsa was very helpful despite busy time being only server on evening of NY's Eve. Her young table helper was good enough to take pictures 📸 including my wife holding lobster 🦞 tail upside down.

The Oyster Bar restaurant is always good. They have many great items on the menu for under $25. Gumbo, fish & chips, fish tacos, linguine, it’s difficult to choose!
