We had a wonderful birthday meal for my wife with our family of 4. We ended up ordering a bunch of plates and ate family style. It was all very delicious. We sat on the patio which had a great vibe and the weather was perfect. My only comment is that some of the dishes were a little pricey for what they were. But all told it was a good nice

We try to go to gnocchi Thursday at least once a month. They always have the most incredible combinations. Their sommeliers are great at pairing wines with our selections, and they’ve introduced us to some wonderful wines we would have overlooked. Service is always impeccable, they make sure you are doing well without crowding your conversations. The staff from the hostess to the sommelier are well trained and it really makes your visit quite lovely.

Short of the mandated 22% service fee the food and service was great. I’d of appreciated being able to tip my server 20% vs the entire staff 22% and having them split that tip amongst their entire crew.

No idea why we had to show up 30 min early?? No one to greet us in the garden very confused. Should have offered “something “ small drink or tasting from the garden. Weird menu . Crab pizza was great but the main dish did not “work “ flavors” didn’t complement each other. Dessert pasty was tough not tasty .

We ate next door. The stools were uncomfortable after sitting for a while, but the food and drinks made up for it. My husband and I went out for an evening without the baby so we stayed longer than usual. It was fantastic.

The atmosphere was fantastic, and so was the pasta I ordered. But unfortunately the chicken was fairly underwhelming for the price, so I’d suggest sticking to the pizza and pasta they are known for. Also, the service wasn’t bad, but again, for the price the staff seemed pretty indifferent to our existence compared to comparable restaurants.

Outstanding food. Friendly and attentive service. Extensive bottled wine list and adequate by the glass. We had beef and pork Gigli and crab fettucini plus a nice mixed green salad and the seasonal fruit crisp. Despite a torrential downpour, the awning over the front patio kept us dry and the weather was not cold, so it was a pleasant al fresco experience. The inside dining room was humming and full. One of the best restaurants in Portland. Get reservations early, especially for weekend nights.

I have been to Nostrana many times and absolutely love everything about it. This time was different. Our server was not good at all. He forgot food, messed up drinks, never checked on us. Not used to that in this place. Have always had super service even when super busy. I will try again as long as he is not my server. Hope you don’t get the guy with the really curly hair pulled back in a pony tail. You will love the food and the over all vibe. Can get a bit noisy inside but even that oils not keep me away.
