we arrived significantly late for our reservation - but were treated with the utmost of care and welcome - which we deeply appreciated. From the start our wait staff was welcoming and pleasant - and prompt with service. The welcoming bread rolls were to die for - warm and tender and delicious. We all ordered different items from the menu - everything was great! We had never been before - but will be back! We look forward to another trip!

We dined here on a Saturday night and this establishment is clearly a local favorite for the 50 and over crowd. While the food here is fine, there’s just nothing memorable about it. Maybe because there’s little problems attracting diners to this restaurant, that is perhaps why they do little to make anything stand out, but what really angered me about my night there is that while the waitress gave us ample time to choose from the menu, she failed to let us know there were specials that evening and that error made me feel like we’d been cheated. When I heard a different waitress informing a nearby table of the night’s specials, I was considering asking our waitress for the specials as well and then to ask her if it was too late to change our meals from what we had ordered, but my husband urged me not to since the kitchen had probably already begun preparing our dishes. Anyway, I don’t like spending above average prices for an average meal with incomplete service. Very disappointed and likely not to return.

Friends getting together was our reason for meeting at NorthStar. From a burger to the meatloaf to the salmon along with the wine list and great service, we had a wonderful evening.

Great as always. We have North Star on our regular rotation - get there every 6-8 weeks. So reliable for food and drink. One of the best battered cod fish fries and vodka Martinis around.

Wecordered a bottle of wine, first a glass was brought to the table, we said we ordered a bottle..then a bottle came, but the wrong wine. Third try, we got the correct bottle. Food came, but only 2 of the 3 entreea that we ordered. The 3rd dish came out about 10 min after the other entrees. We were not offered to have anything comped. The food was ok, but nothing special.

Always a pleasant experience at Northstar Bistro, we sat in the bar at a high top, 4 of us. We had salmon and whitefish, very good and reasonable price. The wine was good,service was good. We will go there again soon.

Loved the salmon entre: good portions, perfectly prepared. Loved Gouda hamburger: thick n juicy topped scrumptiously with Gouda cheese and order of fries. Of course, for starters, we had the eggplant/ zucchini appetizer: North Star Bistro’s delicacy. We, also enjoyed our perfectly served Cosmopolitan and Honey Old Fashion drinks. Great ambiance; sat at high top table in bar area and was comfortably able to carry a conversationNo loud noises. Great week-day dinner outing.
