Very nice restaurant in magical setting (Lincoln Park). Food was great, and original. All the staff were friendly and professional. The four-course menu is a great idea. It’s one of the most romantic restaurants we’ve been so far in Chicago.

Dinner with wine pairings was an extravagant splurge but resulted in a memorable experience and delicious meal. Each of the four courses was delightful with unusual sauces and seasonings. It was a perfect evening weather-wise so we were able to sit outside with wonderful views of the skyline and park. An unexpected bonus was the headings on the menus were customized with the names of the two guests for whom we were celebrating their birthdays. There was also an extra dessert with personalization on the plate for the birthday guests. Definitely a special occasion destination.

An amazing mid-summer’s night dream! We picked an absolutely amazing evening for July in Chicago with pleasant temperatures and the full moon. The view of the pond, wildflowers and downtown were amazing. We both felt this summer’s tasting menu is among the best North Pond has done in the last few years—the vegetarian menu, including the fact there were several options for each course was outstanding. My meat eating companion even chose one of the veg option for the second course. The wine pairing and service was also fantastic and made for a memorable birthday evening. Thanks.

My son and I had always wanted to dine at North Pond and we did this past weekend. The restaurant itself is in a lovely setting and very comfortable. The servers and host were very friendly and polite and explained the menu and choices, drinks, etc. Alas, we were not impressed by the food. 2 of the courses were very bland and several were overly salty. We shared an extra course which was good but not great. My son said the cheese plate he had for his final course was very good. My desert I had was just okay. It was a 3 hour meal which is very long for a 4 course tasting menu. Maybe they were short staffed in the kitchen?? Seemed like they had enough servers and staff. All in all, disappointed as this is a fairly expensive meal.
