Situé à Plantsville, l'ancien restaurant Old Mill est désormais devenu le New Mill, réputé pour les talents culinaires de son nouveau chef Bob Martucci. Cet ancien moulin à cidre datant de 1737 a été l'un des établissements les plus prisés du Connecticut pendant de nombreuses années, avant d'être entièrement rénové par ses propriétaires, Chris et Michelle Calvanese. Il propose des spécialités comme des fruits de mer frais, un bar de crudités, des steaks de bœuf Angus « chop house » ainsi que des pâtes et des desserts maison. Une vaste carte des vins et un grand bar propice aux conversations complètent l'offre de ce restaurant.

Birthday celebration dinner for my 92 yr old motherinlaw. Food and service ere excellent. I had a crab stuffed cod and she had a lazyman lobster special. Portions were big enough for another take home dinner. Excellent surprise cherry covered cheesecake with candle for birthday girl.

Our party was super excited about all the menu choices but unfortunately most of the meals were either dry or salty or both. They were very busy so that might have played a part in it. The clams casino were excellent though as was the beet salad.

Rule #1, always get specials. They just knock them out of the park. The regular menu is great too. Lazy Man's Lobster with Asparagus over mashed was just delicious! Chicken Caprese was too. Drinks are tasty and generous. Staff is always excellent.

I would go out of my way to have another night of being served all the fixings at new mill. They hit all the high marks for a wonderful night out on the town.
