Restaurants à Shirley

We stayed one night and had dinner at Duncombe Arms. The accommodation is really lovely - rooms are so well appointed and very clean. Great walk-in shower and one of the most comfortable beds we have slept on in a hotel / guest house. Lovely views from the room with table and chairs outside for when it's not snowing! The meal was outstanding!! One of the nicest rib-eye steaks I have had for along time. Although the wine list appeared shorter than usual with some crossed off, what I had was very good (lovely Malbec to go with the steak). The breakfast was excellent, as was the service throughout. Will be back for sure.

From walking in to leaving the whole afternoon was beautiful. We’ve been meaning to come here for a few years after hearing many good things and we weren’t disappointed, the staff were so friendly and attentive, and the quality of the food was stunning. I think we’ll be coming here for our special occasions more often!

Food and drink were great, it was just ashame the waiter was abrupt.

We both really enjoyed the tapas. Food came all together and was excellent we doned at 12;30 and were the only ones upstairs in the restaurant, so speedy and excellent service from Sophie. More diners came as we finished. Would highly recommend and we will be back. Thank you.

Lovely pub close to Alton towers, family friendly. Food was great, service was perfect. Great GF menu and cocktails! Much better than the food available at Alton towers.
