L'ambiance aux chandelles est confortable, avec un vieux four à bois, des murs en briques, un plafond de tôle embossée et un petit bar à vin où il est également de prendre une bouchée. Des portes françaises donnent sur un espace extérieur ouvert en saison, et qui peut accueillir jusqu'à 20 personnes. Le concept de la cuisine est de créer des plats traditionnels italiens, mettant l'accent sur des ingrédients frais de saison et des produits de la plus haute qualité. Le menu met en évidence des pâtes faites maison, un plat de poisson grillé au charbon de bois à partager, du rôti de porc, du carré d'agneau et bien sûr les fameux rigatonis à la saucisse douce et épicée qui est devenu un classique au fil des ans. La carte des vins a été récipiendaire annuel du Wine Spectator Award of Excellence depuis 2002 et propose des vins italiens ainsi que d'autres sélections internationales.Upstate Craft Beer & Oyster Bar

The inside of the restaurant is as cozy and comfortable as one would expect, as it is a relaxed atmosphere similar to a sports bar in the off-season. One of the keys to Upstate's success is its commitment to freshness. So much so that there isn't even a freezer in the building as everything is brought in fresh daily.Obviously, the oysters and clams are what most patrons come for, and Upstate's selection of west and east coast varieties changes every day, depending on what is available. That's certainly not the only thing on the menu, though. Guests can try out shared plates of house cured salmon, crab cakes, squid salad and even sea urchin.
