What a lovely warm and inviting pub! Food was excellent and varied and catered well for one of our party who is Caeliac. The chef came to our table to say hello and to tell us she could adapt most of the menu to be gluten free. We will definitely be making another visit in the very near future.

An excellent lunch. Consistently good quality and good value. The Mon-Fri good value lunches are still being maintained in this part of November.

stumbled across it online , little bit of luck. as we live about 45 mins away and wasn’t looking in the area. But what a find. On arriving was met with a lovely cheerful welcome, was seated straight away. Lovely ambience, helpful and cheerful waiting staff. And the food was amazing. So massive well done to all. From owner, to bar staff to waiting staff to chef etc . Will defo be back and often as poss. One thing would be a plus more choice in ales. Amazeballs.

Great place for food, service was excellent and really quick on getting the food. Two of us had the carvery and they also catered for myself who is gluten free with gf gravy and Yorkshire pudding. Always love going there and will go back again for Christmas with work.

No 23 has established itself as a place to go that serves high quality food in very nice surroundings - it is tastefully furnished and the food is always excellent. The staff were very attentive despite it being busy when we visited - Saturday lunchtime - and the food arrived in a timely manner. Great place to relax, enjoy some good drinks and fantastic food. Its not cheap but certainly is good value - the quality of the food is first rate and the quantity ideal - our plates were cleaned but we didn't leave hungry! Enjoy Uppingham and definitely worth a visit to No 23.
