We arrived early but wasn't a problem and we were shown to our table straight away. Fish and chips was the nicest I've had in years and the homemade tartare sauce was so delicious! Very attentive waiter.

Friendly greeting on arrival. Efficient service throughout. Excellent freshly cooked and well presented food. Good choice of dishes for each course on the menu. Good choice of wine, beers and hot drinks available Vegan and vegetarian dishes available . Very enjoyable afternoon meal out with friends.

Food was excellent service excellent atmosphere lovely. We took 4 friends and they all said it was the best meal they have had for a long time. Well done to the Chef and all the staff.

I had booked a table in the restaurant but was actually seated in the bar dining area. However the table we had was fine as it was reasonably quiet. The service , food and atmosphere were very good. The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. I have been to The Royal Oak a few times at various times of the day over past 12 months as it is an ideal place to meet ip with friends and will be going again in the new year.

Despite booking only minutes before we arrived and the place being extremely busy, we were given a warm welcome and received the best service we’ve had anywhere for many a year.
